Dear Reader,
Welcome to the Colorwheel Resources Blog! I am excited that you have decided to step out in faith to visit my blog and check out some of my resources.
In the past, I have found myself volunteering, working, and serving in areas where I have limited expertise and where limited training was provided. I think back to situations and moments where I wish I had done things differently - and if I had been educated and informed, I probably would have. Through all of the difficult and crazy moments, God allowed me to be challenged in my faith journey and ultimately I grew an even stronger desire to serve Christ. These situations have given me a passion to pass on some of my stories and knowledge with the hope that God will use what I have learned in my moments of weakness to empower and equip you do His work. My hope for this blog is twofold:
- To equip those who are stepping out to serve in a new ministry role with a sense of competency
- To refresh and renew those who have been serving for a long time.
My goal is to provide you with information, resources, and encouragement as you serve children and youth. I will hit on things like building morale among volunteers, making a difference in the life of a child, identifying abuse and neglect, building trust with teens, insight into the autism spectrum, sensory tools for the special needs child, and the list goes on.
Come visit us often! My prayer is that you will allow God to open your heart and mind to new ideas and inspiration that will take you to bigger and better places than you ever dreamed!
